New to Pilates 1 – Introduction

Join Anna for the first, short class of our New to Pilates Series; 6 progressive sessions that build a strong foundation in Pilates as you connect your whole body through better posture and alignment, building strength and flexibility. This first, short introductory session will introduce you to the key principles of Pilates. Anna breaks down key positions, looks at breath, and familiarises you with common terminology to ensure you begin your Pilates journey with correct technique and alignment in all your movements. This session also introduces the concept of your core ‘powerhouse’ – ensuring that you are properly engaging the muscles around your core to connect to your centre and stabilize and lengthen your spine.
